Paint Pro is an unsophisticated macOS application designed to help you edit image files, or to give you the possibility to work on drawing projects. The editor can save your projects as .paint files (they remain editable), but also provides support for opening or exporting to some of the most popular image formats, such as PNG, TIFF, BMP, JPEG, or GIF.
Straightforward drawing tool that works right out of the box
To start working with the Paint Pro application, you can either load an existing image file with a simple drag and drop on top of the app’s Dock icon, or you can open a new window and start working on a clean canvas (you get to define its size).
The top window toolbar provides buttons for the included drawing tools together with the supported customization options, while on the left size you can see a list with all your layers. Naturally, you have the option to toggle the visibility of a certain layer, or you can lock the element in a certain position.
Integrates elementary image processing functions such as crop or resize
Paint Pro offers you the possibility to effortlessly adjust the canvas size, to adjust the image opacity, to rotate or to flip the image. Note that all these tools can also be used on a specific layer. In addition, the app also integrates crop capabilities and allows you to apply custom grids.
As a result, Paint Pro can also be successfully used as an image editor: you get to adjust the image size, to make personal annotations, and to export it to another image format.
User friendly drawing and image editing solution that can work with layers
To conclude, Paint Pro provides a collection of basic drawing and image processing tools that can be accessed via a clean and well organized user interface. Since the app provides support for layers, you have the option to create unique effects simply by changing their order.
