PrimoMusic offers you the possibility to move content back and forth between your Mac and iOS device without any limitation imposed by the iTunes sync function. In fact, PrimoMusic can also be used to send tracks to your iTunes library.
Connect to your iOS device and start browsing its media library almost instantly
When you launch the PrimoMusic app, the utility scans for iOS devices attached to the computer via USB and prompts you if it cannot find any. Once a link is established, PrimoMusic analyzes the library stored on the mobile device and lists the available tracks in the app’s main window.
PrimoMusic allows you to see the track name, time, artist, album, and size. To move any of the tracks to your Mac, just tick the associated checkbox, choose the output folder (Music, Desktop, Documents, Movies, Downloads, or any other), press the Export button and monitor the process.
Import content to the iOS device via drag and drop actions
In contrast with the iTunes sync function, PrimoMusic offers you the possibility to send files to the iOS device without having to erase the previous library. Just drag and drop the items on top of the app’s main window, and PrimoMusic takes care of the rest.
PrimoMusic can be used to transfer media to the Music, Ringtones, AudioBooks, Voice Memos, Movies, TV Shows, Music Videos, Podcasts, and iTunes U folders on the iOS device. Once the procedure is complete, you can see and access the new files on the iOS device instantly.
Media transfer tool that can be used to rebuild your iTunes library from devices
Last but not least, PrimoMusic can detect content available on the mobile device that is missing from the iTunes library present on the Mac computer.
The PrimoMusic app comes with a Smart Transfer function that will move only the missing files. However, you can also perform a manual selection.
